We are pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. John Lucas as the next volleyball coach here at Hoggard. Mr. Lucas spent the previous season as an Assistant Coach on the staff at Ashley High School. Mr. Lucas is a 2014 graduate of Lees-McRae College where he was the captain of their volleyball team. In high school, he was a member of two state championship volleyball teams. Prior to arriving in Wilmington, he was an assistant coach with Clemson University, the College of Charleston, and the College of William and Mary.
Mr. Lucas brings a wealth of experience and knowledge into his new role. He is excited to become a part of the Hoggard family and to lead our outstanding volleyball program. Hoggard volleyball has been the premier program in southeastern North Carolina and we look forward to continued success under Coach Lucas.
